"Swallows and Amazons for ever!" is a frequent catchphrase uttered by the characters in the Swallows and Amazons series by Arthur Ransome. It was used as the title of a BBC TV series, Swallows and Amazons Forever! and a book, Swallows and Amazons for Ever!, both based on Coot Club and The Big Six.
The phrase expresses the wish that the Alliance of the Swallows and the Amazons should endure for a long time.
The phrase is used as the official salutation and countersign of the Arthur Ransome Club, where one person at a gathering will call "Swallows and Amazons..." and all present acclaim "Forever!".
In the Japanese translations of the Swallows and Amazons series, the catchphrase is translated to Tsubame-gou to Amazon-gou banzai! = "May Swallow and Amazon last ten thousand years!".
