The Beckfoot Launch is a decidedly native motor launch used by the Blackett and Turner family for outings. She is kept in the Beckfoot boathouse.

- Swallows and Amazons –
- During the cutting-out expedition of the War between the Swallows and Amazons the Swallows go into the Beckfoot boathouse and see the big launch and a rowing skiff, but Amazon is not there; only a note "Ha Ha ..... " from the Amazons (SA19).
- At the end then came the launch, chug, chugging to the landing place with Mrs Blackett, to help the campers following the storm (SA31).
- Swallowdale – used in an outing on the Lake by James Turner, Aunt Maria and the Blackett family. During the outing Nancy fires an arrow containing a message for the shipwrecked Swallows at Horseshoe Bay.
- The Picts and the Martyrs – the Launch is absent for repairs to her planking, her vacant space in the Beckfoot boathouse is reserved for Scarab.
- We Didn't Mean to Go to Sea: John recalls to Susan the time (not described elsewhere) when Swallow was towed by the Beckfoot launch and Nancy went too fast by mistake .... (WD13)
